GPS and cellular geolocation systems cover the
outdoors.
Only SafeLink™ serves people
where they live and work.
SafeLink™ is a
revolutionary geolocation system that uses powerful
existing commercial broadcast signals as position references, providing seamless coverage deep
indoors throughout large urban areas. SafeLink's coverage reaches the places where people and
assets are most often located, and measures locations accurately in all
three axes. No infrastructure installation is necessary.
How SafeLink Works:
1. Subscriber dials the
SafeLink server, enters his account
and password, and specifies a person (locator module) or device (embedded
chipset) to locate.
2. The server
connects to the module or chipset and requests location measurement.
3. The module or
chipset performs measurements and reports results to the server. The
server collects additional data from other SafeLink resources to
ensure accuracy.
4. The server processes
the data and reports results to the subscriber using computer-generated
voice.
5. The subscriber
may send a message,
i.e. - to disable a protected device.
6. Time
required to obtain a location report by telephone is ~5 seconds.
Note: Alternatively, the subscriber may logon to the server via the Internet.
s
Indoor penetration.
SafeLink location measurement
technology uses existing commercial broadcast signals as position
references. Commercial broadcasts are the strongest signals on
earth and utilize frequencies designed to penetrate structures. As
a result they are far more pervasive than GPS and cellular signals in
urban and indoor environments where most people spend most of their time
on a daily basis. SafeLink makes indoor positioning a reality.
s
People and pets.
SafeLink subscribers can remotely locate their loved ones
and pets wherever they may
be, even if the protected persons are unable to operate a cell
phone or to
communicate with searchers. Tiny concealable locator modules operate without
assistance from wearers, and are available in a variety of form factors
for both humans and pets.
s
Convenience.
SafeLink subscribers can access their services at any time from anywhere
worldwide by telephone or online. On telephone connections,
locations are reported by voice in terms of street addresses. With
online connections, locations are displayed on high-resolution maps.
Subscribers can disable items such as laptops by telephone or online.
s
High-value assets.
SafeLink geolocation
services keep
subscribers tethered to their property. Embedded chipsets can't be
defeated without destroying the product, and our pervasive indoor and
urban coverage can't be evaded. With embedded SafeLink protection, consumer products "can't
be lost."
Subscribers
can remotely locate and prevent unauthorized operation of valuable
devices even when powered off and not in use.
s
Measurement accuracy.
Horizontal position measurement accuracy is equal to or better than that
of GPS, and optional altitude accuracy is far superior. For
example, the specific floor in a building where people or property are
located can be determined. Altitude is measured in terms of height
above local terrain, a more useful metric than height above sea level.
s
The future belongs to SafeLink.
No other technology -
GPS, WiFi, cell triangulation, spectral signatures, U-TDOA or "hybrids" - can
deliver pervasive indoor coverage. SafeLink will dominate the
geolocation and security industry, satisfying the worldwide demand for personal
security services in places where most people spend most of their time on a
daily basis.
